The world's fastest scanning speeds
Both the CS500 and CS600 models scan documents at a rate of 9ips and full-colour documents at 3ips when the resolution is set at 400 dpi. The CS-series utilises Contact Image Sensor technology for accurate, high-resolution scans. Requiring no warm-up time, this advanced technology eliminates optical distortion often experienced with common CCD technology.
In addition to the 600 dpi optical resolution, interpolated resolution can be selected from 50 dpi through 800 dpi, in 1-dpi increments to suit the complexity of the drawing and the scanning application. Both models feature an Express mode for high-speed transfer of large quantities of data without any colour deterioration and delivers unparalleled productivity in massive document archiving applications.
Precision scanning
Sliding document guides ensure easy alignment, and an automatic de-skew function is provided for precision scanning. For GIS, mapping and document archiving applications, the CS300 8-bit color model is a practical choice. With 600 dpi optical resolution, both models are accurate to 0.1% and provide the superior image capture precision required for scanning and archiving a wide variety of color documents such as photographs, graphics, engineering drawings, blueprints, sepias, architectural sketches and complex, large-format maps. The unique precision handling system makes both scanners 'well-log' compliant and ideal for digitizing extra long documents, in addition to delicate, valuable originals.
High-performance colour scanner driver
Graphtec's high-performance color scanner driver is provided as a standard accessory. Scanning Master 21+ is easy to use, with interactive menu setups and editing functions that can be saved for later use with similar documents. A new "Scan to Print" function enables the CS series scanners to be combined with a large-format printer to provide a multi-functional color copier solution. Scanning Master 21+ also allows such features as Scan-to-file, Scan-to-print, and Scan-to-Mail. To further enhance user efficiency and maintain compatibility with a variety of applications and subsequent data manipulating processes, a wide range of file formats are supported for archiving your scanned data, including Bitmap, CAD ESP, TIFF, PCX, JPEG, and PDF.
Additional features
Additional features include USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394 interfaces, automatic switching to the energy-saving mode when the scanner is left idle for a pre-determined period, and a smart, streamlined design to match any office decor. Engineered to enhance durability and portability with a compact, lightweight design, the new CS-series eliminates frequent re-calibration and many repetitive, maintenance-related expenses.
Established in 1949, Graphtec have proven themselves in the world of Electronics with their ranges of Measurement Devices as well as their high-end signmaking and imaging equipment.
Having entered the scanning market later than most, Graphtec decided to make use of the CIS (Contact Image Sensor) system, as opposed to the traditional camera devices. These traditional CCD camera systems require much maintenance and care, and result in the bulky and heavy designs of scanning equipment commonly seen in other designs.
The CIS (Contact Image Sensor) system allows for lightweight scanners , which are virtually maintenance free and offer a longer llifespan.
